If you are learning to skateboard you probably want to master an Ollie, Hardflips, Backside flips, and a 360 flip, along with many other tricks. But to learn these tricks you need to follow a guide or have someone teach you how to do it. Here are ways that you can learn skateboard tricks.

Instruction: Skateboarding is a very anti-authority type of sport. It’s rooted in rebellion and civil disobedience so it’s kind of ironic that there is actually instruction available for something that grew out of the empty swimming pools of Southern California. However, nowadays you can save yourself a lot of time, angst, and skin by getting some expert instruction for little or no money. There are thousands of videos and DVDs available to show you the basics.

Your friends will probably be able to teach you the basics like an Ollie and Kickflip, but once you master the basics and want to move on to more advanced tricks you will probably want a professional teacher.

Check out all the skating videos on the web. YouTube has A LOT of skateboard trick videos. I’ve watched a bunch of them and the skill level of some of the skaters is amazing. They are a great way to get ideas, and you can learn tricks this way. But it is not the easiest way to learn skateboarding tricks and you may find yourself getting frustrated.

Practice: I hate practice. I want things to happen instantly. Unfortunately the world doesn’t work that way. Skateboarding requires an insane amount of practice. You may spend days trying to master a single trick. Some skateboarders will spend weeks on a single move before they even come close to landing it. Don’t give up. Practice makes perfect and nowhere does that saying ring truer than in the world of skateboarding.

You can go on to heel flips and so forth after you have got to grips with the varial flip. I hope you have fun with this trick.
The trick, once learned, can be done at will, and looks a real neat and cool trick for you to perform. Like all tricks, your technique and control with this is everything, and you must have your technique rock solid before attempting it
